‘Enjoy the gift of Nature’ Chateau Kalpak unique terroir of the vineyard is reflected in a deep flavours and aromas exhibited in each bottle, main goal is to find best harmony of four varieties: Cabernet sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Merlot.
Chateau Kalpak winery and vineyards are located at the base of Gallipoli peninsula of the Thrace, produced from a Single Vineyard, predominantly gravel and limestone this exceptional terroir is exposed to both Sea of Marmara and Aegean Sea. This 2016 vintage is a blend of Merlot-Cabernet Sauvignon-Cabernet Franc-Petit Verdot, aged for about 36 months in barriques, blotted with no filtration. It has a dark ruby colour, on the nose vanilla, chocolate, oaky notes, on the palate black fruits, plums, blackberries, remarkable tannins and long finish, it will age well for 10 + years.
Perfect for decanting and pairing with grilled meats, rich stews or aged cheese.
