Papaskarasi is an ancient indigenous grape variety grown almost exclusively in Kirklareli, Thrace. The 2021 vintage reflects on limestone-rich soils, Chamlija winery has brought this nearly forgotten grape back into the spot life with finesse.
On the nose aromas of red cherries, wild strawberries, rose petal and a hint of spice. On the palate, the wine is light-to medium bodied with juicy acidity and fine tannins. Note of cranberry, pomegranate and earthy undertone makes this wine exceptionally food friendly.
