Chamlija Winery The Camlica family has been farming in Buyukkaristiran, Luleburgaz since 1936. Mustafa Camlica founded the Chamlija Winery in 2000 in a small Thracian town of Buyukkaristan and planted his vineyard throughout the decomposed granite soils of the Strandja Massif, near where Turkey meats Bulgaria. We are working sucesfully with Chamlija winery since 2013.
Mustafa Camlica, a prominent fine wine investor from the third generation of the family to live in Turkey, is the name behind this very ambitious project. The company is named after his daughter, Irem Camlica is a renowned artist in Turkey, and her art work adorns the Chamlija wines labe.
Chateau Kalpak Bulent Kalpaklioglu founder of Chateau Kalpak journey begins in 1991 after 21 years living in US and Paris. Upon his return, he sought potential vineyard sites and decided to establish his ‘dream vineyard and winery’ in Şarkoy, Tekirdağ. After experimenting with various root stocks, varieties and trellis systems in an experimental vineyard of about 1.5 hectares for more than a decade, he established the main vineyard of the chateau in 2006 with varieties imported from France. A state of the art gravity-fed winery was built in 2010 within the vineyard for the production of the “chateau wine”. First wine been made in 2010 and released in 2013, we are working with Chateau Kalpak winery since 2013.
Gurbuz Winery Akin Gurbuz is a winemaker and wine consultant for several prestigious wineries in Turkey. He has a Bachelor of science degree in Viticulture and Enology from University of California, Davis. Akin is a founder of Gurbuz Gida AS. an Istanbul base company that is focusing on production of premium Turkish wines. He regularly attends wine competitions, like International Wine Challenge in London. He organizes and gives local and international seminars about vineyard management and winemaking. He is interested in sustainable, organic and biodynamic practise in grape growing and winemaking. We have been working with Akin since 2013
